and in the sea there is a fish, a fish that has a secret wish…
I have a new shirt design today, this comes from a very nice benefactress. It’s one of the new stranded designs from target, but it seems to me to be a revision of an earlier design. I scanned this, since I can’t seem to find my camera, but I think it turned out pretty well, and details the design better than the image on target’s site.
There’s some nice embroidery on the fish, but it really reminded me of this earlier stranded design. I don’t really have a preference as they are both nice designs. The main differences (besides color) seem to be the black shirt has the fish much bigger and with more embroidery, and the contrast of the red sun on the black background, whereas with the navy blue design, the characters make up the majority of the design and the fish (and I think I see some bamboo) as the graphical element of the design.
a little birdie told me…
As i am perennially fond of the stranded line from target, i am always checking to see if they have new designs up. stranded tees are soft, wash/wear, affordable, fit me well (unlike most shirts), snug in the right places and loose in the rest…what’s not to like? The only downside is that they tend to fray ever so slightly at the neck and hem, but not terribly, and i find it gives a nice, worn-in look (essential for street cred). So, i’m scanning target’s page, nothing really jumps out at me until this:
And…ENHANCE!
*sigh* so gorgeous. the bird, to me, typifies spring, and you cannot tell me somthing with that many swirls and flourishes was not meant to be worn by a girl. so yes, i am really hoping that maybe someone will get this for me (size small!) i think i have 5 stranded tees, so here’s hoping for a half-dozen.
nice jeans, they’d look better on my floor…
haha, i love how wrinkled these look in the pic, cause that’s how they usually look when they’re in a heap on my bedroom floor. well, maybe not that bad. ok, so i realized that this is a jeans and tshirt blog, but i have not posted any jeans yet, so i figured this was a good place to start. ok, so about a month ago, i tore my fave, most comfortable jeans right across the knee, not patchable. so began the hunt for new jeans. since these are the staple of my clothing diet, i was pretty particular. i had heard of this new site, zafu.com. tried it out, got my recommendations, headed out to (shudder) the mall. unfortunately, none of the jeans recommended by zafu fit, or were within my budget (no seven for all mankind jeans for me, i’m a student.) so, wandering around the mall, i stumble on an aeropostale store, not usually my brand, but couldn’t resist the siren call of the huge “70% off!” placard in front. after a few misses, i hit the jackpot:
bought 2 pairs, lots of sizes to choose from (inc. long, a much-loved cut for the long-limbed girl), $20. buy these jeans now, thank me later.
in the springtime, my only pretty ring time, birds sweetly sing…
a ding a ding sweet lovers love…the spring!
That’s from Willy Wonka. This shirt is from urbn.com (I know, again!) but I’m really digging the easy, early spring feeling to it. $28, not too bad, but I’m gonna wait to see if it goes on sale.
lightning strikes twice @ urbn
Two hot new lightning tees from urbnoutfitters, i think i like the lightning in a bottle one more, seems simpler and wittier at the same time. ‘K, this is all for tonight kiddies, gotta save some!
Sorry for the delay
Hi, sorry I haven’t posted in a few days, RAM burnt out in laptop, car died, etc. Will have many new posts soon!
B……4!…Hit!
This shirt reminds me of how I used to cheat in this game by moving my ships all around during the game…everyone always missed.
(And yes, this is technically a men’s shirt. However, this is a blog of shirts I would wear, and I do find that men’s shirts are longer and not quite as tight or “form-fitted”. For me, men’s sz small fits more comfortably than women’s sizing does, so there it is. What’s the dif anyway? It’s not like the buttons are on the wrong side or something. )
From glo4life. Be advised, they only accept paper with the queen’s picture on it.
it’s not a fish.
Sharks! Are you kidding me? On a girl’s shirt, in a non-traditional cut? So freakin’ awesome, it leaves me almost speechless.
From Miele Fresca
Puffed sleeves!
Ok, this is why I love this shirt:
1) Awesome old (not old like your grandma’s but old as in 17th century shit) couch
2) Bell fucking sleeves! Seriously, who the shit puts that on a tshirt? That takes some brass balls right there, but I think it is also an integral part of why I love it. Possibly because I only read the Anne of Green Gables books like 50 times in my younger days and she was obsessed with getting a dress with puffed sleeves.
So yeah, I might have to buy this shirt (bargain hunters, $17.67 marked down from $57!)
From Anzevino & Florence
Bow screen top
I like the cutout on the back of this, kinda sex-ifies it , and the swirly side design.
Now on sale for $14.99, Anchor Blue.
First post ever
Reasons I am starting this blog:
1) To have a reason to write everyday
2) New year, new resolution
3) Possibility of free clothing
4) Have seen tshirt blogs, and jeans blogs, but not both together (a “hey you got jeans in my tshirt blog! you got tshirts in my jeans blog!” kinda thing )
So yeah, let’s see how this goes…
